The American Legion Mountaineer Boys State (ALMBS) Bank serves as a cornerstone of the program’s hands-on government simulation, providing citizens with practical experience in financial services, leadership, and teamwork. Staffed entirely by Boys State participants, the bank handles simulated deposits, withdrawals, loans, and budget oversight for cities and state programs.

Bank staff members are selected through an interview-based hiring process conducted by ALMBS leadership. Each candidate is evaluated on professionalism, communication skills, and interest in business or finance-related fields. Roles include Bank President, Vice-President, Loan Officer, and multiple Teller positions.

The American Legion Mountaineer Boys State (ALMBS) Bar Exam is a required assessment for all citizens seeking to run for positions within the judicial branch of the ALMBS government. Modeled after real-world legal standards, the exam ensures candidates demonstrate a foundational understanding of the law, courtroom procedures, and the responsibilities of judicial office. Passing the Bar Exam is a prerequisite to file for roles such as Justice of the Supreme Court of Appeals or Circuit Judge. This process helps maintain the integrity of the ALMBS judicial system and provides a meaningful educational experience for all participants.
